Ken Collins –Director, Writer, Actor
Ken Collins is a native of Richmond, Virginia but Los Angeles his been his home for the past twelve years. Ken has worked on the set in practically every capacity imaginable. Specifically, Ken has experience with makeup, art direction, sound, boom, camera op, cinematography and lighting.
Ken received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from Virginia Commonwealth University and has appeared in many independent films and television shows. Not only has Ken appeared in his own films, he has also worked on a variety of miniseries and popular shows such as The Murder of Mary Phagan with Kevin Spacey and The X-Files.
As a screenwriter, Ken has worked with several studios including Paramount Pictures, Summit Entertainment and Mark Johnson Productions. In 2002 Ken won the “action” category in the Fade In Magazine screenwriting competition. Ken has directed two short films and one feature. His short film, “Mexican Sky,” premiered at the 2007 Sunscreen Film Festival and was also selected for the 2007 Action On Film Festival, where he was nominated for Best Director in the Short films category.
Susan Montague – Writer, Producer
Susan Montague has worked as a writer and indie film producer since 1993. She is originally from Blacksburg, Virginia, and has lived in Los Angeles for over twelve years. Susan enjoyed her first acting role in college as Mother Superior in Agnes of God and other roles in indie films, but definitely prefers being behind the camera.
Susan is a co-founding member of Largo Films, and produced the short film, “Mexican Sky,” which premiered at the 2007 Sunscreen Film Festival and was also selected for the 2007 Action On Film Festival. She has most recently produced the feature Dead Americans.
When not watching movies, working on a film, or catching up on back issues of The New Yorker, Susan volunteers with the Pasadena Animal League, a non-profit group that raises funds for the Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA.
Jay Hewlett – Writer, Actor, Producer
Jay began his film career over 20 years ago in Arizona. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radio and Television and a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Arizona. Jay first began work with Cox Cable producing local commercials and public service announcements, and moved on to segment producer.
Jay is a co-founding member of Largo Films. He co-produced and acted in the short film Mexican Sky and the feature Dead Americans. Mexican Sky premiered at the 2007 Sunscreen Film Festival and was also selected for the 2007 Action On Film Festival.
Jay has extensive acting experience, including national commercials, features on network and cable shows, and theater roles. Jay appeared in the short film The Act, which was shown at Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals, and the Boston Comedy Festival, which aired on Comcast. Jay is also a standup comedian who performs regularly at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, The Improv and the Ice House.
